Kia Soul vs Nissan Leaf – An Owners Comparison
Kia has announced its new Soul EV model, which is expected to go on sale next year. The Korean carmaker claims that the new electric vehicle will offer better performance compared to other EVs on the market.
In 2016, Kia sold over 2 million vehicles worldwide, making it the third largest automaker in terms of sales volume. The company also offers a range of hybrid models, such as the Optima Hybrid and Sportage Hybrid.
Kia says that the Soul EV will be able to travel up to 300 miles on a single charge, thanks to a lithium ion battery pack. The carmaker claims that the battery will provide enough power to allow the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 100mph.

The Soul EV’s battery can be charged using an AC outlet or a DC charger. It takes around six hours to fully recharge the battery using a standard wall socket.
The Soul EV features a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 80bhp. This provides the electric vehicle with a maximum speed of 62mph.
A number of safety systems are included in the Soul EV. These include automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance and blind spot monitoring.
Kia says the Soul EV will cost £29,995 when it goes on sale later this year.
